The installation method of ductile iron manhole cover is as follows:

Preparation:

Ensure the cleanliness of the construction site, remove debris and garbage.
Check the flatness and verticality of the Manhole Cover seat and surrounding foundation.
Prepare the necessary tools and materials, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, level gauges, filling materials, etc.

Check the quality of manhole covers and seats:

Check if the manhole cover is damaged or cracked, and ensure that its surface is smooth.
Check if the well seat meets the specified dimensions and requirements, and ensure that its surface is flat.

Installation of well seat:

Apply a layer of primer above the wellhead to enhance the adhesion of the well seat.
Place the well seat above the wellhead and adjust its levelness using a spirit level.
Ensure that the well seat is tightly attached to the surrounding foundation and tighten the fixing bolts with a screwdriver or wrench.

Installation of manhole cover:

Place the ductile iron manhole cover on the well seat, ensuring complete alignment with the well seat.
Pay attention to adjusting the position of the manhole cover so that it is level with the surrounding roads or sidewalks.
Use a spirit level to check the levelness of the manhole cover and make minor adjustments if necessary.

Fixed manhole cover:

Use a screwdriver or wrench to tighten the fixing bolts on the manhole cover, ensuring that the cover is securely fixed to the well seat.
Tighten according to the manufacturer's specified torque values to avoid over tightening or over loosening.

Check installation quality:

After installation, conduct a comprehensive inspection to ensure that the installation quality of ductile iron manhole covers meets the requirements.
Check the flatness, levelness, and verticality of the manhole cover with the surrounding roads or sidewalks.
Check if the fixing bolts are secure and eliminate any loose or unstable situations.

Fill gaps:

If a gap is found between the manhole cover and the well seat during installation, it should be filled in a timely manner.
Choose appropriate filling materials such as asphalt, rubber gaskets, or concrete, fill gaps, and ensure that the filling is firm.

Notes:

During the installation process, be careful to avoid direct crushing of the well seat by construction machinery.
When pouring on the road surface as a whole, it is necessary to reserve holes slightly larger than the well seat on the road surface for placement after the asphalt or cement is laid.
Before installation, it is necessary to verify the type, size, and structure of the manhole cover to ensure compliance with standards, and check for any damage, cracks, or other phenomena.
